Finding Peace III

January 21, 2018

As responsibilities, hopes, dreams and plans weigh heavy upon your shoulders and anxiety hits you like a sack of bricks, you worry about provision and wealth. You worry about health. You worry about the coming days and the coming years.

You worry about rejection.

You worry about the zero resources you have to fuel your life-sized projects. You worry about marriage—will you find the one; will you be happy, will he be loving and kind and caring? Will she be a source of comfort? You worry about children and their future— so far into their future.

You worry about things so dark that you don’t dare utter them.

Then you remember Allāh is Nūr, Light.

You remember that Allāh is ar-Razzāq; He bestows wealth, health, love and affection.

You remember that He is Al-Awwal, the First, He was there when nothing was there and everything is from Him, so you are calmed and assured that with one sincere, persistent call—He can give you the resources that you don’t have to set you on the path of fulfilment. He can fulfil your needs and answer your heart’s most precious desires.

You remember that guidance is in His hands and He can guide you and your loved ones too. You remember that He controls every heart and for you, He can soften the toughest of hearts—

You are comforted. Your anxious heart subsides, slowly relief starts pouring in.

﴾Those who believed, and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allāh. Indeed, in the remembrance of Allāh do hearts find rest.﴿ 13:28
